In the world of User Experience Design it is important to understand the user. Understanding the user allows for the designer to comprehend the product effectively.

Understanding the user through generating a user persona is key to having an idea of who is using the product and how to cater to him/her allowing for the focus in design.

Assignment: Utilizing a grid, hierarchy, contrast, type system and other appropriate design principles. Strive to create a professional, attractive and dynamic layout for the persona.

Lessons Learned

It was difficult to understand the purpose of personas at first. If you think about it you are creating an identity for someone who does not exist. After some practice and through the months in the UXD program at KSU it is understood that the development of programs and the research that goes into applications, or anything rather, encompassing the study of UXD are made for someone unidentified. Which can cause the issue UXD and research in the field solve for.
